What equipment needs to be provided for Kerryn when she speaks?
A Laptop and Data Projector will need to be provided for training sessions if necessary and if possible.
How do you have the knowledge and expertise of Asperger's Syndrome/Autism Spectrum Disorders?
I was born with Asperger's Syndrome and have lived with it my entire life, therefore, able to teach/train/educate from my own life's experiences of living with the disorder from day to day.
How often will the Aspektism/Workism Course run during the year?
Kerryn is dedicated to run these courses during the year, and now they are starting to run in Community Centres/Neighbhourhood Houses in 2011, depending on enrolments & interest at the time. However, it should be noted that sometimes this is not at all possible in unforseen circumstances.
Do you work with or provide advice for parents of younger children?
Yes, Kerryn now works with children from 5 years up to 12, as well as teenagers/adults on tha Autism Spectrum. In 2010, Kerryn has spoken to more than 500 children ranging from primary/high school level to University students.
Do you have a current Working with Children Check to work with children in schools?
Yes! Kerryn certainly has a working with children check as this was required for one of her previous jobs as a school crossing supervisor working for her local council.
If you run a the Aspektism/Workism at a Neighbhourhood House/Learning Centre or our organisation, are the printing of manuals included in the cost that you provide us?
Yes it is, although it all depends on the quote given by the printers to KTalk at the time and usually the more books printed, the cheaper it costs, but KTalk has to pay upfront fees for these manuals, and this can be very expensive, so once the account is settled & time/date set for commencement of course, then printing will go ahead, and books can then be ready for pariticipants.
